Make Your Own Melody

1. To make a melody, click on the "pencil."

2. Then, choose one of the four instruments and click any where on the composition workpad to place a note. You will hear the pitches as you enter them on the pad.

3. To hear the melody you created, click on the "play" arrow at the bottom of the composition workpad.

4. Click on the eraser to clear the pad and start again.

"Same or Different" (skill level: easy)

1. Click on "Same or Different."

2. The screen will clear and the melody you made will appear on the left and another melody will appear on the right. The melody on the right is made from your melody, but it might be: the same, higher, lower, faster, slower, upside down or backwards.

3. Click on "different," If it is NOT exactly the same. Or click on "same" if it is exactly the same.

4. When you want to go back to the main page, click "quit."

"Name the Difference" (skill level: difficult)

1. Click on "Name the Difference."

2. The screen will clear and the melody you made will appear on the left and another melody will appear on the right. The melody on the right is made from your melody, but it might be: the same, higher, lower, faster, slower, upside down or backwards.

3. Choose the correct answer from the list at the top of the screen.

4. When you want to go back to the main page, click on quit.

To repeat the selection before answering, click the "play" button.
